Nothing kicks off the new year like a fresh perspective. And that perspective can come in the form of new experiences and shared experiences. My dear friend of 20 years got married in Houston, Texas over the weekend and I was so honored to be able to witness this day. From helping her prepare the ceremony space, to picking out last minute decor, to celebrating with margaritas the night before, then watching her walk down the aisle with her beloved, it was such a wonderful celebration.
My best friend and I had a difficult time trying to decide what to wear. We searched for weeks, but ultimately both decided on floor length gowns. She opted for a burgundy/wine colored dress and I opted for an emerald green one-shoulder dress. I paired it with silver strappy sandals, diamond studs, and a jade and silver bracelet. It was nice to dress up for such a special event, but it’s the memory of the time spent together that’s even more special.
