I recently finished my bottle of Jergens Ultra Healing Lotion and saw it as an opportunity to try out some other highly rated body care products to see if they’re really worth the splurge.
I opted to try a drugstore lotion, a luxury body oil, a specialty lotion, and a specialty body butter. This way, I can compare the products on how they make my skin feel vs. the cost vs. the barrier of ordering from a specialty store instead of a grocery or super mart store.
Product 1 is Eos Shea Butter Body Lotion. I’ve heard great reviews about this product but wanted to smell them in person. After smelling the different fragrances in the bottle and on my skin, I felt that they were too fragranced for me since I wear different perfumes every day. I opted for the fragrance free version.
Product 2 is Osea Undaria Algae Body Oil. I ordered the travel size from Ulta since I wasn’t able to try a sample ahead of time. The application process says you can apply the oil on dry or damp skin, so this will be a change since I haven’t used a body oil before. My first thought is that I wonder what the process will be like applying to damp skin and how that will dry as opposed to applying to dry skin like I do with lotion. This is also the only fragranced item I purchased, so I’m wondering how potent or mild the fragrance will be.
Product 3 is Necessaire The Body Lotion. The body wash from this line receives a lot of praise, so I was wondering how the lotion would fare. I opted for the fragrance free version and look forward to trying it out.
Product 4 is Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter. I’ve heard great things about this product as well. The formula has great reviews and I love that they offer reusable packaging. I ordered the fragrance free version and look forward to trying it out!
I also purchases a Shisheido face SPF, but I’ll do a blog post on that later.
Once I’ve tried all of these products, I’ll do a follow-up post with my thoughts.
Have you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!
