I tried a good amount of beauty products in 2023. Some were good, some were not worth mentioning and others were exceptional. The latter are the ones you will see on the list below! If you’re in the market for skincare, hair conditioner or makeup recommendations, then check out my top selections.
This moisturizer is $39 for 1.7 ounces. I think that’s a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way. I have tried other more affordable moisturizers but have not found one that feels as nice as this one. I will keep looking but for someone with combination skin, I cannot recommend this moisturizer enough. I wear this at night.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Conditioner
This conditioner is less than $5 and worth every penny. I have curly hair and my hair always feels quenched after using this conditioner. It’s best to do a deep conditioning hair mask weekly, but on the days you aren’t able to, this quick treatment really is a great option.
SheaMoisture Intensive Hydration Hair Masque
For a deep conditioning hair mask, I recommend this Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Masque by SheaMoisture. My hair really feels hydrated and smooth after rinsing this out.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara
My mom told me about this mascara a few years ago and it is still my favorite one-coat mascara. I like that it lengthens your lashes and thickens the appearance as well. I usually only do one coat, and the transformation is noticeable. I’m sure two coats would be even more impressive.
Tula The Cult Classic Face Cleanser
I have purchased a sample size of The Cult Classic face cleanser, and then purchased a Tula travel variety kit that included the face cleanser. I’m a big fan of this product. It just smells so pleasant and moisturizing, and I feel like my skin has a glow after using it. Because of this, I only use this product at night since I prefer to have a more matte look during the daytime. I have not been impressed by other products from this same line, but highly recommend this cleanser. I plan to purchase the full size tube in the future.
Dare I say that this is the best full coverage concealer that I’ve ever used. It is. I’ve tried many drugstore and specialty brand concealers and this L’Oreal concealer is hands down my favorite. Not only is it great for concealing under the eyes, I also use this concealer to spot correct on days I don’t want to wear foundation – which has been most of the time this winter. The formula is great and blends effortlessly with a finger.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Liner
I mostly wear nude lipsticks and lip glosses and this lip liner is the perfect color. It has matched with all different brands, formulas and shades of lipsticks. It has also lasted a very long time. I’ve had this lip liner for over a year and it’s nowhere close to being used up. Not even halfway. It also sharpens nicely.
Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Brow Pencil
This is another long-lasting product. I’ve had this eyebrow pencil for more than two years and it’s still going strong. I am finally near the end, but it just keeps providing wonderful, pigmented product. I use this to fill in my brows and give them more definite shape, and it’s just a really great product.

I’ve only tried the Benefits brow pencil from this list and I love it. It’s not too dark so it looks natural but has a good amount of pigment. Great post, I’ll check out the other products you mentioned too!

Agreed! The benefit brow pencil is such a great formula. And I hope you like them once you try some of the other products!
