Hello, my beautiful friends. Can you believe we are almost halfway through the year? I’ve been loving the warmer weather and trying new restaurants in my city. Because I’ve been out and about, it’s given me more opportunities to try a few new products over the last two months. Keep reading below for my latest skin, hair and beauty finds!
Skincare
Tula face cleanser – I picked up the travel size of this cleanser at the Ulta checkout line and I am so happy I did. I love how it smells. It just smells fresh, like you’re at a spa, and it’s so relaxing. It’s very hydrating so I only use it at night.
Kiehl’s Creamy eye treatment with avocado – I was looking for an eye cream to try and since I know I love the Kiehl’s facial moisturizer, I wanted to give this product a try. I do like how moisturizing the formula is, but I think for me personally, I’m looking more for a brightening eye cream. If you’re searching for a hydrating formula, I do recommend this product.
Makeup
Pat McGrath Labs lipglosses – I was searching for a super shiny lip gloss and came across the Pat McGrath Labs lip gloss while I was browsing through Sephora. Anything from Dame McGrath comes highly lauded so I knew it was a safe purchase. I lean towards bronzy pink shades, so I swatched Bronze Divinity and Bronze Venus – both are gorgeous. I purchased Bronze Divinity that day but purchased Bronze Venus a few weeks later.
IT Cosmetics mascara – I tried this mascara last year when it was my complimentary Sephora birthday gift. I really like the formula, it’s actually my favorite mascara. I just recently ran out of the trial size, so I purchased the full size and anticipate it’ll last a while since the small size lasted about a year.
Hair
Design Essentials Edge Control – This is one of the better edge controls I’ve tried. I like that it doesn’t flake or leave a white residue. It’s glossy, smooth and lays your face-framing roots down well. The results depend on the texture and condition of your hair of course. But I use a hard bristle boar brush with the product to help pull my edges back.
Fragrance
Billie Eilish perfume – If you read my post on perfumes I’m currently liking, (and if you haven’t, click here to read) then you know that I loved the Billie Eilish perfume so much that I planned on purchasing it next. Well I did just that. I opted for the 1.7 oz bottle and I will admit that it smells more potent in store than it does in person. I love the vanilla scent, the affordable price and the gorgeous packaging. The staying power isn’t as potent as the more established perfume houses, but that’s to be expected with the price range. That being said, I adore this fragrance. If you’re looking for a warm vanilla perfume that smells really yummy for a night out, this is it.
