The Emerald Glam

I am a little behind in writing this post, but I believe it is worth the wait. I visited the Savannah Local Artist Market on May 23 and enjoyed discovering local artists selling their works. There were painters, photographers, clothing designers, sculptors and more all stationed around the Salvation Army Baseball Field. I walked around, visiting each booth that caught my attention, said hi to some familiar faces and met new ones.

There were a few artists who stood out to me, but since art is subjective, I’ll leave a link to the event website so you can discover some of these artists for yourself!

Ultimately, on my way out, I came across a sailboat print from Angela Roe. It moved me, I thought the paint and the colors were so beautiful. So I bought it for our apartment. 

And now it is the end of August. Upon searching for more wall art in our home, I revisited the work of William Kwamena-Poh who was also at the market. His work is striking, powerful and beautiful. I have purchased a print from his Fishermen Series and it arrived this week. I’ve ordered a frame and can’t wait to display it!
