Beauty Samples I Tried and Liked This Summer

JLo Beauty That Hit Single Gel Cream Cleanser

This JLo Beauty cleanser is different from others I’ve tried before. It has a pearlescent white formula, is very creamy and smells so good. It reminds me of Glow by JLo, the perfume, which reminds me of my mother. I remember when that perfume first debuted in 2002, my mom used to wear it and I remember it having such a clean, yet luxurious scent. Well the cleanser echoes that fragrance and leaves your skin looking fresh, hydrated and glowing. Although I had a trial size, I was very impressed with this product and would definitely purchase the full size.

Farmacy Skincare – Cleansing Balm and Moisturizer

For my annual Sephora birthday gift, I picked up the Farmacy skincare set which included a cleansing balm, moisturizer and face mask. I haven’t used the face mask yet, but I have tried the other two products.

At first I did not like the Honey Halo Moisturizer because it doesn’t have a soothing scent like other moisturizers. But over time I came to like it because it is very moisturizing. I also really enjoy that it’s in a glass bottle. It’s satisfying to hear the glass clink when you set it on the counter and opening up the jar.

I really like the Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm. I use it with my makeup removing cloth towel and it gets everything off. While you can use specific makeup removing towels without product, I like using this product with the towel so it’s not so abrasive when you’re rubbing it against your face. This balm also has a very pleasant smell. It smells green.  I don’t know what ingredient makes it smell that way, but it’s different from the other fragrances. That’s not in skin care. But this one smells really good.

Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Marura Oil Hair Masque

This Shea Moisture conditioner is amazing. I was watching The GlamTwinz Youtube channel and they were discussing some of their favorite deep conditioners, and this was one of the products they mentioned. I intended to deep condition with a shower cap under a hooded dryer, but I just did not have the energy to do it that day. After shampooing, I applied this condtioner and finished my regular shower routine. I rinsed out after probably 5 minutes and my hair felt so hydrated. I have tight curly hair, so it felt very moisturizing on my hair, especially after I rinsed it out. If you have a looser hair texture, this particular product might be too heavy for your locks. All in all, I do recommend this product for the coarse, curly girls.

Have you tried any new hair, beauty or skincare products lately? Let me know in the comments below!

    • Same! I’ve seen mixed reviews about her products as well. I also think they’re a bit overpriced from what I’ve seen. The cleaner is definitely overpriced. But it’s a good splurge product if you’re in the market for one! I think I would probably pick the Tula probiotics cleaner over this one though.
