Savannah was covered in snow last week and this week, temperatures hit 70 degrees. If that’s not a sign that spring is on everyone’s mind, even Mother Nature’s, I don’t know what to tell you. If you’re still enjoying the fabulous winter looks of fur coats and fluffy fur hats but want to start planning your spring/summer wardrobe, look no further. Below, I’m sharing a few trends for the warmer months.
Light, Airy Sheer Fabrics
Sheer fabrics were a recurring theme on the Spring/Summer 2025 runway and for good reason. Whether in maxi dress form à la Chloe or as a sheer shawl like at Chanel, the light and breezy fabric is perfect for the next season.
Iridescent Fabrics
After a summer of quiet luxury, the girlies want more DRAMA. 😌 If the sheer fabrics aren’t your thing, maybe try iridescent textiles. Silver metallic embellished tops at Chanel, Ralph Lauren’s dazzling blue blouse and iridescent maxi skirts at Zimmermann are just a few examples of the glamorous trend.
Heeled sandals
The Hermes Oran sandal was arguably the most popular sandal of 2024. Seeking a change from the quiet luxury look, many designers sent their models down the runway in elevated footwear including high heel sandals and wedges. Meanwhile, influencers on TikTok seem to be gravitating towards heeled mules.
Menswear as Women’s wear
Suiting was a major highlight in ready-to-wear shows. Max Mara opted for classic tailored suits that could be dressed up or down while Saint Laurent played with a more powerful, oversized fit while still flattering the female form.
Casual Sportswear
In a juxtaposition to business attire and suiting, individuals who prefer a more laid back look might choose to experiment with casual sportswear. Not quite athleisure, the new style takes on a different form. Casual designs from Miu Miu touted tracksuit-esque jackets and trench coats complimented by high neckline tees with white trim. Dior also showed edgy sporty designs including racer jackets, bomber jackets and wide leg pants.
Shades of Brown
As for colors of the season, expect to see different shades of brown. Hermes created designs in tan, light brown, chocolate and deep brown. Brown was a popular choice at Michael Kors, Max Mara and Zimmermann as well.
