8 Beauty Treatments You Can Do At Home in Under an Hour

Beauty maintenance is not easy. In fact, it’s very time consuming and laborious. But when you’ve completed your treatments, it is so worth the results at the end. I’m sharing eight beauty treatments you can do at home in less than an hour. Keep reading below!

  1. Whiten Your Teeth – You can use a variety of methods to whiten your teeth at home. Whitening teeth strips, LED devices, whitening gel and more. When I was in was in college, I used a bleaching gel in a tray from my orthodontist and that was my favorite option. But now I use the Crest white strips sensitive kit.

2. Sugar scrub – This option is often overlooked but can really help your skin look more vibrant and smooth. There’s sugar scrubs for your face, body, lips and feet. For lips, I like the Fresh sugar scrub. For Body & feet, I’ve used Tree Hut & always had good results.

3. Shave – Whatever body hair you want to shave off, go ahead and do that. Whatever body hair you want to keep, go ahead and leave that. I like the Women’s Schick Hydro Silk razor but I’ve heard good reviews about the Venus razors as well.

4. Paint your nails – Nail polish is a great way to refine your overall appearance. There are many varieties to choose from: regular polish, at-home gel kits, dip powder and builder gel. I prefer to  use regular nail polish when I paint my nails at home and my favorite brands are OPI and Essie. However, if you prefer for your polish to last longer than a few days, then I would recommend trying another form of long-wear polish or booking an appointment with a professional.

5. Moisturize your hands, feet & nails – When’s the last time you gave your hands and feet a much needed hydration boost? Lather on a thick moisturizer for your hands and do the same for your feet. Then, apply cuticle oil to the cuticles around your fingernails and toenails. I like to use the Eucerin intensive repair lotion and the Sally Hansen cuticle oil.

6. Conditioning Hair Mask – Yes, hair wash day is a chore, but it’s always worth it in the end. Add an extra step to your hair care routine by applying a deep conditioning hair mask for a few minutes in the shower. For the best results, you can apply the hair mask after shampooing, put on a shower cap and sit under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes. Once time is up, rinse out the mask and follow your hair routine as normal. I have curly hair and the SheaMoisture Manuka Honey hair masque is my favorite.

7. Find your best eyebrow shape – What if I told you that you can find your best eyebrow shape without even leaving your home? You can. Some companies offer virtual try-on features for you to try out services before booking an appointment or buying an item. I like the Benefit Cosmetics Virtual Brow Try-On feature. You can select to use your own photo or use a provided model and use their tools to select the arch, thickness and color of the brows.

8. Drink water – Finally, remember to drink water. Not only is it necessary for your health, it also helps to improve your skin’s complexion!
