One of my favorite things about thrifting is the memory associated with finding a new item. Over Memorial Day weekend, my best friend and I went shopping around downtown Savannah. I wanted to show her my favorite antique shop, Picker Joe’s Antique Mall, and she spotted a tiny vintage shop across the street. So we went over and browsed through the shop, Rex & Willow, to see what treasures were inside. It appeared to be mostly men’s vintage and secondhand clothing. Graphic tees, jeans, jackets, etc. I didn’t think I would find anything in there, but I was surprised when after swiping through hangers, I saw a chambray shirt. It was a light denim color, men’s medium size and slightly structured but not too heavy. A denim shirt was on my summer shopping list and this one fit the criteria. It does have a small logo with the words “firefighter” written on the front, but I actually like that. It will be perfect for wearing with casual outfits or to wear over swimsuits. The sale price was $35 but I asked if they would accept $30, and they did. I’m excited to wear it soon!
