You don’t need me to express how hot it is outside. I’m sure you know. This summer has been one of the hottest summers I’ve ever experienced and it’s prompted me to update the items I keep in my work bag. Keep reading below to see what I recommend you keep in your handbag or tote this season.
1 – Sunblock
I was out with my friend Shay one day and the sun was beaming. It was absolutely scorching outside and there was no cloud coverage. She pulled out a travel size bottle of sunblock and put some on her arms. She offered me some and after I rubbed it in, I felt immediate relief from the sun. I now keep a travel size and put it on when needed, usually when driving during peak sunlight hours.
2 – Sunglasses
It’s good to keep a pair of sunglasses in your bag to protect your eyes from the sun’s glare. They’re also good for adding style to any outfit.
3 – Deodorant
This item is good to keep in your bag just in case you need to touch up your deodorant throughout the day.
4 – Scrunchie or Hair Clip
Whether indoors or outdoors, having hair covering the back of your neck can really make a hot day feel even hotter. Having a scrunchie or hair clip on hand is helpful for those moments when you want to put your hair up.
5 – Water Bottle
So this item might not fit in your handbag, but it’s good to keep on hand this summer. I have to remind myself to drink water and having a bottle on hand where I can see it helps me to increase my water intake.
6 – Concealer
I’m a full-coverage makeup kinda girl, but some days I really don’t feel like wearing foundation. On those days where I still want to wear makeup but not a full face, I’ll opt for just concealer to cover dark spots.
